For this project, my class was tasked with creating an "Escape Pod" that could be used by our fellow students to get away from all the open space at our school, the Wilson School of Design campus in Richmond, BC. The pods can be used by students for recreational breaks, meditation, rest, or studying.
We were inspired by meditation spaces and foldable forms, such as paper lanterns and the Issey Miyake dress (pictured on the top right.)
My group members diverged and sketched our all our ideas out.
We then came together and discussed common elements from across our ideas, from which we designed our final concept.
